The psychological toll on the tsunami survivors is now becoming apparent some in Sri Lanka have attempted suicide, while others are refusing to eat after losing loved 1's,the children are being hardest hit some have remained silent since being rescued and losing their parents the aid agencies are unable to help these people as their priority are with feeding and innoculation the 2nd tragedy has begun in the massive psychological collapse across a whole generation.

And then to add insult to injury for these children have not only been robbed of in many cases their parents and grandparents but then to face the various child molesters that seek to take and sell these young ones into slavery. This is just so utterly horrid. To hear of so much pain and suffering in such this limited amout of time is so beyond belief and yet it is sad to say a reality. Then on the flip side are those stories where as it is instant families are coming into being. Like for example on the news they spoke of this young girl, about five years of age. Her teacher and classmates were all lost to the waves and she too would have been except she was washed atop a rooftop. A man, in his late 30's happened upon the young girl, two strangers, without family and becoming instant family as it were. Her hand slipped into his and it has been said that for the amount of time since they have walked hand in hand....

This is so horrible. I wish there was something i could do, though I know this is a stupid thing to wish, since nothing can really be done at this point. I know how horrible i woudl feel if it had been me.

And Goblin, give Lou a break, I mean, he's not used to reading about such drastic stuff as the tsunami, I would venture to say. If i didn't know better, I would be shocked by what you said too.
